2:00 PM to 3:00 PM: How to be Good without God

With the popularity of the "new atheism" of Richard Dawkins and other authors, many people are leaving traditional faith. But they soon come to ask, "Now what?" Without theism they wonder about the basis for moral values and happiness. And they seek to find alternative communities of the like minded. In this class students will be taught how a positive approach to moral values and a good life can be had without a god or religion.

Because seating is limited, only those who already doubt theism or have abandoned it may attend. This is not a venue for arguing; it is an opportunity to gain insights for moving forward in one's personal odyssey of meaning and value.
