"We take photographs with our hearts and we take photographs with our minds. The camera is nothing more than a tool."- Arnold Newman
Whether your camera is new to you or if you have been using it for a while, if you are not sure how to use the camera that you are working with then you are not utilizing your camera to the fullest potential. This hands-on workshop is intended to introduce basic photographic principals that will allow the participant to understand how their camera works. Aperture, shutter speed, film speed (ISO/ASA), lenses, camera metering and automatic vs. manual exposure settings will be explained and related to the participant's camera. By having a better understanding of how to use their camera the participant will be able to begin to rely more on their mind, instead of a machine, to make a photograph.
